The first Photoshoot in Flamingo Beach
Like many of our beloved clients, Rigel reach out to us via email. He decided to take our recommendation to have the photo session in Flamingo Beach, as we have many reasons to believe that it is one of the best spots for photo sessions in Costa Rica. I'd say we got lucky with the amazing sunset, but most of the time the sunsets in Flamingo are great!
December, 2022. Flamingo Beach.
April, 2024. Las Catalinas, Guanacaste.
Rigel introduces us to his family. We met his wife Randy and their little energetic boy Rocky. He is from Costa Rica and She is wife is from the United States. I can tell that this photo session was so easy going because Rocky couldn't stop saying cheese to the camera. I think he just loves being photographed. He was 2 years old at that moment, but he was so friendly and confident. Of course, he could get tired a few times, but nothing we couldn't handle.
Kids always like to do things that are more exciting than just sitting or standing in front of a camera. We make them run, jump, swing... Anything that makes them feel like they are playing a game can mark a difference. Of course, adults have fun too, it is the best way to capture the most natural smiles of true joy that stand out, rather than just a forced smile.
As part of the experience, we love to talk, to hear what you have to say about Costa Rica, our food, our people, and the places you have visited. In this case, during the first photo shoot we talked about Las Catalinas, and here is where the second photo shoot took place.
By the way, if you've never been to Las Catalinas, you really need to take the time to visit!
Rigel reached out to us again, on March 2024, for a photo session in Las Catalinas Town and its beach, Playa Danta. This time Randy, his wife, was celebrating her birthday. The Valverde family stayed in one of the places in Las Catalinas and they helped us with the access, because even though the place is open to the public, you need a permit to take professional photos inside the place. Nothing to worry about, it was easy to handle and the administration was very helpful. We met at the Celeste Restaurant on the beach, we greet each other, remembering the first time we met at Flamingo Beach 2 years ago. They were all dressed in black. And Rocky, you can see he has grown, now he is 4 years old and even more confident with the camera than ever. Ready to take lots of pictures.
I cherish this place for many things. For its trails, its architecture, and the stunning landscapes it has. So I wanted to highlight its buildings and hidden gardens in every photo, so I took advantage of every location around the place.
Does it make you feel like a hole different country? At least for me, since I am not a regular traveler. This time Rigel managed to keep Rocky entertained for the pictures when his attention was not on the camera. Rigel could solve it with tickling, it totally worked and it helped to have some great natural photos that reflect joy, fun and so much love with each other. You can tell they have an special connection.
Finally, we went to the beach to catch the beautiful colors of the sundown. We had an incredible orange color on the horizon, which helped us with the perfect ending for the photo shoot. We took some pictures together, Rocky with mom and then Rocky with dad. I think the whole photo shoot took about 40 or 45 minutes. We usually deliver the photos the next day, but I had a personal appointment in Liberia the next day, so I sent them the photos 2 days later after the photo shoot, all edited and ready for review.
